timberland boots cheap card programs should just die

How many loyalty cards do you have in your wallet? Between coffee shop stamps and gas station points and consumer rewards, it likely there quite a few (in fact, the average American is a member of 29 loyalty programs even though they only use half of them this year).Just one look at the recent Air Miles fiasco and it clear that these programs are a hassle for companies, too.Study after study has shown why they just don work. You essentially discount your brand in exchange for customer data, which feels cheap and tawdry. In the long run, it doesn yield economic returns studies have shown that companies with a higher spend on loyalty programs earn, on average, 10 per cent less than competitors. The reality is, do any of the cards you have really compel you to head back to the store? For companies, I think a dose of brutal honesty is in order. In the end, loyalty programs are about gathering information from your customers. If you want that precious data, be up front about it and give them a compelling reason to share it.Real loyalty, in my mind, starts with showing buyers you have integrity, heart and soul a purpose, personality and sense of values that transcend your logo. say it shared values that drive their brand loyalty, not discounts. charitable and giving programs and loyalty unexpectedly converge. These are usually thought of as two separate initiatives, but they don have to be. With a loyalty program that tied into a giving program, you enable customers to actually give back instead of getting punches on a card or piling up miles they never use.David Segal opened his fresh fast food location in Ottawa this summer.I thought about his a lot lately. I was never exactly happy with DavidsTea Frequent Steeper program not only was it complicated to manage, it cost us millions of dollars in product each year and did nothing to drive our already loyal customers to the store. When I launched my newest venture, I wanted to get this right. We recently rolled out a very different kind of loyalty program at Mad Radish: for every order a customer places on our app or online, a serving of fresh vegetables is donated to a local food charity on the customer behalf.CIBC divorce from PC Financial shines light on bruised loyalty card industryCanada Engage People wants to shake up global customer loyalty programsAfter trying it for two months and giving away more than 1,000 servings of produce I don think we ever go back to a 9 Get the 10th Free model. For other entrepreneurs looking to reboot their loyalty programs, here are a few principles we learned along the way.Pick the right partnerIf you going to tie loyalty with giving, it has to truly make sense for you and your customers. The right initiative should be intrinsic to your core business and its mission, not an afterthought. It not just about presenting a novelty cheque to charity once a quarter. For our program, for instance, we partnered with Community Food Centres Canada (CFCC), a national nonprofit focused on giving low income families in need access to fresh, healthy food. Rather than giving away canned and processed stuff, they build community food centres where the emphasis is on creating a space where people come together, cook together and eat together. Our business is about proving that healthy food can be delicious, so this was a natural fit.Consider keeping it localI think there something empowering and gratifying about helping people in your own backyard. This makes sense from a giving perspective, but also from the perspective of energizing your customer base to take part.I have tremendous admiration for one for one giving programs like those at Warby Parker and Tom shoes for making a huge difference in the lives of people around the globe. At the same time, one of the things I love about working with CFCC is that we donating fresh vegetables to people an hour away.Increasingly, companies even those with global reach are thinking locally when it comes to giving, for these very reasons. Telus, for one, has branded its charitable efforts Where You Live, investing in hyper local causes (such as the Bipolar Disorder Society of BC) and challenging employees to donate volunteer hours.Incorporate technology and make it realHere where giving programs can take a cue from loyalty initiatives, especially in terms of integrating technology and gamification. Being able to track and quantify your individual charitable impact adds a level of personal investment and commitment. We spent a great deal of time developing an app that logs each donation so that users can see in real time how many servings of veggies we given away and what their own contribution is.

Caravel football head coach Mike Aruanno announced his resignation Wednesday morning.

“This is one of the toughest decisions I have ever had to make,” Aruanno said in an e mail shortly after making his decision public. “Although this move will have a positive impact on my personal life, it will never fill the void that is left from this move.”

The seven year coach took over a struggling program and turned it into a regular state title contender. Under Aruanno the Buccaneers reached the state title game four times, winning a championship in 2005.

This past fall, Caravel’s wins included a 31 21 regular season win over Division I state champion Salesianum. The Bucs finished 7 3, narrowly missing the playoffs.

“I have been blessed with great relationships that have developed with the families and the players over the years,” Aruanno added. “I will miss this dearly.”

2. Salesianum tops Middletown in battle of top baseball teams: Sallies senior Zach Lopes was 3 for 4 with a home run and three RBI and junior Lincoln Lamberton pounded out two hits to lead the Sals to an easy 9 2 win over Middletown (6 1). Senior Nolan Magee struck out four to earn the complete game victory. The Sals then defeated Seaford 13 1 Saturday. Lamberton and senior George Materese each had two hits and two RBI. Salesianum is off to a 5 1 start under first year coach Ted Godfrey.

3. St. Mark’s (Wilmington) continues domination: It was another easy week for the defending state champions on the baseball diamond. The Spartans easily handled Caesar Rodney (14 1), Delaware Military Academy (9 0) and William Penn (17 1) to run their record to 6 0.

4. Top ranked Cape makes easy work of Charter: Cape Henlopen (Lewes)’s girls lacrosse team scored five consecutive goals in the final 17 minutes of the game to pull away and defeat Charter of Wilmington, 11 3,

Jake Myers (St. Andrew’s): The sophomore pitched his second five inning no hitter of the season in the Cardinals’ 11 1 win over Wilmington Christian.

Jon Zuk (St. Mark’s): The senior midfielder scored four goals in the Spartans’ 8 7 win over rival Tatnall on Thursday. Earlier in the week Zuk had a goal and assist in a 10 7 loss to Archmere Academy.

Sukey Hendrix (Sanford (Hockessin, Del.)): The senior scored seven goals last week, three in the Warriors’ 13 9 win over Tatnall and four in an 11 8 win over Wilmington Friends.

Eric J. Peterson (Charter of Wilmington): The senior lefty had 20 strikeouts and helped his own cause with three hits in his team’s 11 1 win over Christiana.

Zachary Candeloro (Caesar Rodney): The junior pitcher was 2 for 3 with a three run home run while pitching a complete game in the Riders’ 6 5 win over Cape Henlopen.

Harrison said the ECB’s response “will show the values of the game in its best light”.

The first Ashes Test starts in Brisbane on 23 November. Before that, England play two warm up matches against a Cricket Australia XI, the first of which starts on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Finn was ruled out of the tour after scans showed he has torn cartilage in his left knee and was replaced by Surrey all rounder Tom Curran.

England batsman Alex Hales, who was with Stokes at the time of the incident, was also interviewed under caution by police but is not expecting to face a criminal charge.

Hales, 28, was not named in the England squad to tour Australia.

Harrison said the ECB is waiting to be informed of the next stage in the police investigation,

“It’s complicated and it’s one of those that will depend on police matters,” Harrison said. “We’re in a holding pattern at the minute.

“I think we will quickly recover to a place where the game is seen as doing its best to rehabilitate reputations on the field and try and get Ben and Alex back to a place where fans are really behind them.”

England will miss ‘incredible’ Stokes

Stokes (left) and Broad celebrate winning the Ashes in 2015Former Australia bowler Glenn McGrath said England will miss their “enforcer” if they are without Stokes for the entire tour.

“He’s an incredible player he fills two spots in one,” Test Match Special pundit McGrath told BBC Radio 5 live.

“If he doesn’t come out, that’s a big loss to England. But he’s vice captain, he can’t put himself in those positions. He’s got to realise that.

“He’s an enforcer within the team and that’s fine on the field as long as it stays there. Who would be the enforcer in his shoes?”

Meanwhile, England fast bowler Stuart Broad said Stokes will still be an influence on the squad, even if he does not travel to Australia.

“We’ve still got his character within the group,” Broad said. “We’ve still got his characteristics of competitive sport, of arm round people that he’s done for years still in this group.

I was surfing the internet one day and then I came across avengers toms. I was inspired and really wanted to design and paint my own pair of shoes. You can wear them on the 4th of July, for a halloween costume, or just for fun!I prefer using the computer rather than sketching, so I used pixlrto “paint” the shoe. I used the magic wand tool to select certain strips and the paint bucket to fill in the colors.Step 3: Clean Your Shoes, Remove the Shoe Laces, and Stuff ThemAs you can see, the shoes I used were just a little dirty. I cleaned them quickly by taking some detergent and scrubbing the shoe. I then took some water and took off the remaining detergent.Remove the shoe laces and stuff the shoes with tissue paper or paper towel. It’s important to stuff the shoe so you have a nice firm canvas. Once all of this is done, let the shoes dry! If you’re impatient like me,
timberland boots 6 inch Captain America Sneakers
you’re sharpie will leak like mine did.If you have new shoes, then you’re good to go.Step 4: Draw Out the DesignGrab your sharpie and get drawing! Do your best to make nice clean lines. Don’t worry too much about messing up, because the pain will cover it up.Step 5: Mix Your PaintIf you’re like me and only had acrylic paint, mix fabric medium to thin it out. You add 3 parts acrylic paint to one part fabric medium. Take your brush and mix well.I chose to mix one paint at a time to prevent the paint from drying up.Step 6: Paint the ShoeOnce you’ve mixed your color, get to painting. Use different brush sizes to get the desired effect. Example, if you need to get as close to the line as possible, it’s best to use a thin and flat brush. I first did the blue, then red, then white. You can go in whatever order you’d like. It’s not super important.

“It was a huge win for us,” he said. “We stayed unbeaten in the conference (Washington Catholic Athletic Conference) and because we had lost to them four years in a row. They’ve won the last four (conference titles). They’ve been such an explosive team. For us to think we could come away with a shutout there wasn’t even a thought.”

The Stags’ finest defensive effort of the year yielded only 107 yards and three first downs. Middle linebacker set the pace with nine tackles, four for losses. The game changer was a 99 yard interception return by cornerback , and a 95 yard touchdown run by was a clincher in the fourth quarter.

Brooks played football under Bill McGregor and basketball under Morgan Wootten. He helped both teams win a pair of championships in the highly competitive WCAC. During his senior year (2001 02) he captained both teams, leading the football squad in rushing and the basketball squad in assists.

timberland earth keeper Canyon Fire 2 burns homes

timberland boat shoes Canyon Fire 2 burns homes

Wind driven flames spread uphill from State Route 241, and the first home caught fire shortly before noon Monday.

Then additional homes quickly began to burn in a neighborhood of million dollar houses that line cul de sacs in northeast Anaheim Hills. The area was blanketed in smoke.

Gusts of up to 45 mph fanned the blaze, which was dubbed Canyon Fire 2 for its proximity to a fire by the same name that burned 2,662 acres nearby just two weeks earlier. In the original Canyon Fire, some 1,500 residents were affected by evacuation orders and six structures were damaged.

The second fire by the same name started in nearly the same location off the 91 Freeway near Coal Canyon but burned much more rapidly and west toward Anaheim. The earlier fire burned east toward Corona.

On Monday, multiple homes were destroyed, aerial video from Sky5 showed. Thousands of residents were under an evacuation order. Some 5,000 homes were threatened by early evening.

Fire officials later said 24 structures were destroyed, though they didn’t say how many were homes or other buildings.

Confirmed: evacuees will not be allowed back to the area tonight. October 10, 2017

Asked about homes burning, apparently without any nearby presence from firefighters, Sgt. Daron Wyatt, a spokesman for Anaheim Fire Rescue, initially said fire personnel had been trying to reach the houses but were struggling with low visibility, wind gusts of 45 mph and an “extreme” rate of spread.

“Many of the homes that have burnt,
timberland earth keeper Canyon Fire 2 burns homes
it’s because of embers that have flown well in advance of fire,” Wyatt said. “We’re trying to battle the head of the fire, but because of these winds . sometimes we’re having these homes burnt.”

Fire officials’ first focus is the protection of lives and then, secondarily, of property, Wyatt said.

A home burns in Anaheim Hills on Oct. 9, 2017. The homes appeared to be complete losses.

About 2 1/2 miles to the southwest, several other homes burned in another neighborhood, the Estates of Hidden Canyon. At least one home burned in that area onVia El Estribo.

And at least one other home a very large one could be seen burning in the area northeast of Walnut Canyon Reservoir.

Glass could be heard shattering as flames tore through homes, and propane tanks could be heard exploding.

Cal Fire’s Riverside division chief, Steven Beach, said firefighters were using a tactic called “fire front following,” moving resources to areas of active fires.

“We have a fire that’s burning in an urban interface area. We have to make smart use of the fire resources we have because of the precarious fire situation the state of California has today,” Beach said, in reference to massive, destructive wildfires in Northern California.

THE annual spectacle that is the Cannes Film Festival becomes more ridiculous every year.

Case in point what on earth was Cheryl Cole doing there? I know she is gorgeous and looks great in a frock but as far as I know her film is limited to about two minutes in a terrible movie about talent shows where she hardly covered herself with glory.

Then there are the Z list celebs partying as if their lives depend on it and the uber rich showing off their big diamonds and even bigger yachts.

I thought this was meant to be a competition to find the best in film?

One thing that did catch my interest, though, was the flat shoe ban .

As a feminist, I should be all for women turning up at a glitzy do in ballet pumps. I’m not. In fact I just don’t get it. In fact they look better with almost Except a pair of tracksuit bottoms I guess, even though that was a big look last year.

Blame my Liverpool background if you like, or the fact I am afflicted with the long body/short legs thing, but I rarely leave the house without them. Even my trainers have got a wedge heel to give me a little bit of extra height.

I once spent a holiday wearing nothing but flat sandals. We weren’t going for any fancy dinners and spent a lot of time wandering round night markets and city centres.

It took my achilles tendons months to recover and put a serious dent in my fitness regime. It was only when a physio asked what I had been doing differently to cause the problem that I realised the flats were to blame. They went straight to the back of the cupboard, a mistake never to be repeated.

Biker boots with a chunky sole are fine for a wander round the shops, but flat shoes for a glitzy night out? No chance.

If I know my evening might involve a bit of walking, I just take a bigger bag and stick a pair of flats in. They are discarded the minute I arrive at the bar or I would never walk in with them on, whatever the weather.

Recently at an awards dinner in London, I was shocked at the attire of the women guests.

I had visited the hairdresser before I flew south, covered myself in fake tan and packed my best heels.

At the arrival drinks, I was astonished at the women arriving for the event. There were flat sandals and frumpy frocks galore. It was bizarre. Then someone reminded me they would all be getting the Tube home. That is no excuse.

I’ve twisted ankles and got blisters on my blisters all in the name of high heels. I won’t be changing any time soon.

A high end maker of cannabis infused chocolate has signed a tentative deal to open a store in the Westfield San Francisco Centre, which experts say would be the first time a major class A mall has agreed to house a marijuana based outlet.

While the deal is not finalized and must win city approvals, D a cannabis chocolatier started by a former Apple executive, is seeking to move into a 1,000 square foot space on the third floor of the mall at Fifth and Market streets, according to the application filed with the city Planning Department.

our partnership with Westfield Shopping Centre, our exclusive focus will be providing low dose, high quality cannabis products designed for the responsible and safe consumption by adults, D said in the application. Westfield did not have an official comment on the application.

would be precedent setting, said Amanda Ostrowitz, a Denver regulatory attorney specializing in marijuana regulations and banking law. growth of online retail has created a situation where the commercial real estate industry has to get more creative. If this works out, it could be a boon for the retail real estate industry. There are precious few sectors that are demanding storefront space at the moment.

The third floor of the Westfield mall currently has four vacancies. Tenants on the floor include H Banana Republic, Lucky Brand jeans, Express, Godiva chocolates, Clark Shoes and mall staples like Kay Jewelers and Solstice Sunglasses. Talks with D could also fall apart if a major tenant in the mall objects.

A REIT executive who has worked extensively through the Bay Area said that downtown San Francisco is the perfect place to test a pioneering concept like D He said cannabis businesses regularly approach his company, which owns suburban shopping centers with anchor tenants such as Target or Safeway, but the answer is no, he said. have not seen a REIT lease to a cannabis shop. Not yet. It might be a matter of time. Westfield is the biggest and the best. They know what they are doing.

Matt Holmes, a partner at commercial brokerage Retail West, said it likely Westfield is testing the waters and has a exit written into whatever preliminary agreement exists with D He said that most landlords stay away from cannabis businesses because the property owners have loans with banks, which won do business with marijuana companies because cannabis sales, while legal in 29 states, are still against federal law.

surprised to see this crop up in an institutional holding, he said. wise, I don know how they are going to get around it. But we are entering a new paradigm. The whole game is changing.

If D does open, will become a precedent setter for the country and could open the doors for similar transactions, he added.

malls never think singularly it always about economy of scale, he said. market is so quick to copy each other. We are all struggling right now in a dwindling retail environment to come up with different concepts.

Westfield owns and operates 35 shopping centers in the United States and United Kingdom valued at $32 billion, 15 of which are in California.

Bethany Gomez, director of research for the Brightfield Group, a cannabis industry research firm, said that D business model is compatible with a high end mall clientele.

is a new move but not surprising considering how gourmet, cannabis infused chocolates, generally with lower dosing, are connecting with the high income consumers, she said.

School board members are elected to four year terms, which will expire in December 2018 for members Cindy Vaillancourt, Bess Altwerger, Sandra French and Ananta Hejeebu. Hejeebu was appointed to the board in May and is finishing the term of former board member Christine O’Connor after her resignation earlier this year.

Republican Darren Vilus, 30, of Columbia, filed with the state board of elections last week to run against Kittleman in the primary election in June 2018.

As a former educator in the school system, Miller said he would bring a teacher and parent’s perspective to the board. The Columbia resident taught fourth through 12th grade over a 34 year career and said he hopes to promote and increase individualization among students.

“What is most important for student learning will vary from student to student,” Miller said. “This would involve efforts to provide more time for educators to attend to individual student and family circumstances, potentials and desires as well as the implementation of appropriate school system supports to enable all of our students to have outstanding educational opportunities.”

Wu, who currently has children in the school system, said his time on the Columbia Association’s Board of Directors has shown him how to incorporate diversity and equity into the decision making process. Wu has represented the Columbia Village of River Hill on the association’s board and been a board member of the River Hill Village Association since 2015.

Giving children the motivation to achieve is crucial to his platform, Wu said.

“If our children are motivated to learn and excel, there will be no difficulties we could not overcome,” he said. “Each child has different potential and the teacher and school should help to find it and drive the student to achieve that with help from their families.”

Rehman said leadership, accountability and transparency are important traits to have as a board member, which is why he decided to run next year.

Campaign season is getting underway, with candidates declaring or testing the waters for a run for county executive and council next year. These are important grassroots offices that set the agenda for taxes and spending, education, development, transportation, health and public safety and a range.

(Editorial by the Howard County Times)

Despite the board’s transformation in the 2016 election when newcomers ousted members Janet Siddiqui, Ellen Flynn Giles and Ann DeLacy, also knocking out two additional incumbents out of the race in the primaries, Rehman said, “the change is not complete.”

“To be successful, we need leadership that will empower more voices and bring everyone into the education process,” he said. “We need more transparency from the board and administration so that complex issues, like redistricting, don’t become acrimonious.”

Scott says storms with lots of snow are forecast for December in the eastern half of Canada, while in the western half of the county, the winter conditions are expected to start in January.

La Nina winters often mean changeable weather, and Scott says that while Canadians can expect to be pounded by numerous snowstorms, there will also be sustained periods of milder weather.

might get two out of three months where you think, that was a wild winter, and then one month where the winter goes away, he explains. this will be a winter that more on than off. says Southern Ontario and Quebec might see mild conditions during all of January.

The weather pattern also calls for a winter that lingers, meaning the country could experience snowstorms as late as March.

Scott notes that in the prairies a strong snow pack could benefit soil conditions and help produce a bountiful spring harvest.

Ski resorts are also anticipating a banner season, especially in western Canada, where the coastal mountains are already getting snow.

The only region of Canada not following the nation wide trend is Nunavut, which has seen warming temperatures in recent years due to global warming. Scott says Nunavut can expect warmer than usual temperatures again this winter, along with average levels of snow.

timberland boots online Canadian Tire to launch trial run of home delivery this year

TORONTO Canadian Tire will launch a trial run with home delivery at the end of this year, its CEO said Thursday in what is likely a response to the rising threat posed from competitors such as Walmart and Amazon.

The move marks a reversal for the national retailer, which for years had expressed no interest in home delivery, saying there was no need to offer it when 90 per cent of the country population lives within 15 minutes of one of its stores.

Details are scant. Wetmore said the company needs to pick a market, decide on how many of its nearly 500 stores will participate and which products will be eligible for home delivery.

The trial run will be assessed to determine whether home delivery should be rolled out across the country.

really complex with CTR (Canadian Tire retail), he said.

About 100 Canadian Tire stores across the country already offer limited delivery on a small number of products. Delivery is also already available at nearly all of Canadian Tire other retail banners, including Mark Pro Hockey Life and Sport Chek.

Canadian Tire has also offered a pay and pickup option since it rolled out its e commerce website in 2014.

The retailer is likely feeling the squeeze from the likes of Walmart Canada and Amazon, which offer same day and sometimes free delivery.

Wetmore recently returned as the head of the company in July, replacing Michael Medline, who had been in the top job for less than two years. Since his return, Wetmore focus has been on improving Canadian Tire e commerce and data analytics strategy.

He said Canadian Tire has been in recent talks with retailers, primarily in Europe, to sell its private brands including home decor lines such as Noma and Canvas.

The company isn eyeing any international expansion with its store banners at this point,

Wetmore said, but it is open to more mergers and acquisitions abroad.

On Wednesday, Canadian Tire announced it purchased Padinox, the company that owns the Canadian rights to the Paderno kitchenware brand, for an undisclosed amount.

Earlier Thursday, Canadian Tire reported that its profit jumped 26 per cent in its latest quarter to $107.9 million, or $1.24 per share, for the 13 week period ended April 1. That compares with $85.6 million, or 90 cents per share, for the same period a year earlier.

Its revenue climbed 7.6 per cent to $2.75 billion.

The improvement came despite warmer weather in January and February that hurt sales in outerwear, accessories and boots and a cold start to spring that took a bite out of sales in bicycles, running shoes and casual clothing, the company said.

An Ontario software developer has become the first Canadian to successfully swim across the Strait of Magellan.

Madhu Nagaraja says he completed the swim across the treacherous open water stretch on the tip of South America on Nov. 29.

The 47 year old from Oakville, Ont., becomes the 23rd person to complete the 3.9 kilometre swim through the strait famed for its strong winds, high waves and frigid waters.

The conditions in the strait defeated Nagaraja once before when he attempted a crossing in 2015.

After two hours in the water, the Chilean Navy had to pull him ashore with severe hypothermia.

He says the previous failure made last month’s success, which he completed in one hour and 19 minutes, feel all the more triumphant.

“The experience of failure is a tricky thing, and it’s all so massive,” Nagaraja said in a telephone interview from his Oakville home. “How do you face that? How do you build a support system to make yourself believe in the things that you’ve done and get back and focus on getting across?”

an experienced open water swimmer who had previously crossed the English Channel and completed long distance challenges in Lake Ontario, said several factors prompted him to make another attempt on the Strait, which serves as a route between the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.

In addition to a desire to honour Canada’s 150th birthday this year, he said he wanted to pay tribute to the 16th century explorer for whom the Strait is named after.

Ferdinand Magellan used the passage during what became the first recorded circumnavigation of the globe, a mission he launched but did not live long enough to complete.

Nagaraja said he’s awestruck by explorers like Magellan who ventured across literal uncharted waters with none of the conveniences so much a part of modern life.

“These early navigators . . . made it a point to get around the world with absolutely no data,” he said. “It’s their personalities, it’s the way they looked at solving a problem or looking at an adventure.”

The uniqueness of the geography offered still more incentive, he said, adding the conditions on the day of his crossing reinforced the Strait’s reputation as a treacherous route.

timberland 6 inch boots sale Canadian restaurant run

NEW YORK, Nov 7 (Thomson Reuters Foundation) A group of Canadian gourmets is hoping to smash misconceptions about HIV transmission one plate at the time by opening a pop up restaurant run entirely by staff infected with the virus.

Located in Toronto, the restaurant calledJune’s on Tuesday was serving its first meals prepared by HIV positive cooks to dispel any notion that food preparation can spread the virus.

Wearing aprons printed with such messages as “Kiss the HIV+ cook” and “I got HIV from pasta. Said no one ever,” June’s 14 HIV positive cooks will be serving customers who prepaid to reserve their tables.

The idea of June’s came in response to asurvey last month that found only half of Canadians would eat food prepared by someone with HIV.

The survey was conducted by Casey House, a non profit that planned the pop up, or temporary, restaurant, said the group’s head Joanne Simons. Casey House provides health care for people with HIV/AIDS.

June’s will be open just two days, serving 200 customers who bought tickets for C$125 ($98), Simons said.

The tickets sold out in less than two weeks and, with such strong demand, another restaurant run by HIV positive staff may be in the offing, she said.

“We’d love to be able to do it in places like New York and San Francisco and London,” Simons told the Thomson Reuters Foundation.

The menu features such items as northern Thai potato leek soup and ginger bread tiramisu, she said.

Since 2005, HIV incidence in Canada appears to be declining, according to a 2015 report by the Public Health Agency of Canada.

Worldwide, since the beginning of the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the 1980s, more than 70 million people have been infected with the HIV virus and 35 million died, according to the World Health Organization.
